“Good magic hides the trick. Great magic reveals some sort of truth. It's a form of self-expression. I want my magic to be meaningful. I want people to find more in it than deception. People should enjoy magic, of course, but they should also feel connected to others through it. Magic should cause people to reconsider what they think they know and the way they perceive things."

Joshua Jay is a world famous performer, lecturer, author, and photographer of all things mysterious. He has performed in over fifty countries for distinguished politicians and major celebrities and appears regularly on national television such as Good Morning America, CNN, and the TODAY Show. Joshua also acts as magic consultant for Marvel Comics and HBO, using sleight of hand to promote Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire. Joshua has spoken on magic and creativity at Google headquarters, and lectured on deception at universities and museums across the country. Jay recently appeared onstage at the Rubin Museum as part of their Brainwave series, performing and speaking alongside neuroscientists on the role the brain plays in illusions.

Joshua Jay is the author of thirteen books for magicians. In 2009 he penned a best-selling magic book, 'MAGIC: The Complete Course', and had his fine-art photography exhibited in several shows (appearing recently at the Culture Museum in Linz, Austria).

"I consider Joshua an important, emerging voice in our art." David Blaine
